Hello everyone,
Saturday was my first Tri. I did the Sprint at Sanford. I started training for weight loss but decided to commit to an event. I had three goals, to finish, to not walk any of it, and to beat 2 hours. I am pleased to say I accomplished all 3 goals. Now I am considering another, probably the East Tawas in Sept. I am enjoying reading all these posts and information about the different races.

CONGRATS! That is a fun venue! Awesome job hitting all three goals!

This sport is addictive and you won't meet finer people anywhere! Go for another event...you'll not be sorry!

It has been a bucket list item for years...something to do before I'm 25. Okay, maybe I'll push that to 30. Okay, maybe I'll let it go altogether.

I can't say it enough, the feeling of treading water for that final minute, helicopters over head, Mike Riley's Iron-voice over the P.A. - just awesome. I cannot believe I'm here!

So after about 10,000 emails, dozens of phone calls, and one pre-race pasta dinner, the 1st meeting of the Steve's in a triathlon finally arrived.
