Congrats Chris.  What was the time?  Maybe you mentioned it, but missed it.

12:31:01 in the official results (live timing had added two minutes to the swim for some reason).  Tony is jealous because I did a faster marathon than him on this course.

Monica had a 13:27:02

Dude.....yours was a regular 140.6. Mine was an Ironman. In a regular 140.6, one must add 5 hours to their time for it to be an apples-to-apples comparison.

Ergo....I win.

Hey doll! How ya been? And incidentally woooaahhhh WTH happened to BT? I remember the old janky UI. This new stuff is all purty.

Been GOOD! So good!

The new BT was strange at first but they made some changes after the initial switch that made things better. I like it!

Yay for SO GOOD!

I'm working on it. I keep clicking the darn wrong buttons though...

I'm signed up for the FL 70.3 in April.

I've been doing a bunch of rides with a local group and several of those peeps are doing the race. It was kind of a spontaneous decision that I'm now really really happy about.

Except I have to swim again. Blarg.

You've been gone a looooong time, young lady. Even Yanti got called FNG last week, and she hasn't been missing anywhere near as long as you, heheeh

Hooray for coming back to tri's!

Don't sweat the swimming, instead think of it as practicing choreographed splashing

It's not really the swimming I'm worried about, it's the breathing.

Funny you should mention - I was just thinking about this on my drive into work this morning.  When is IMFL 70.3?  April?  The full is in Nov, right?

I'm entertaining to doing the full in 2015 now.  Maybe volunteer next year to get a spot.

Oh, and hai!

It's nearing viral if he's looking at dates and potentially volunteering.

$10 says 2014 is a half and 2015 is a full.

Yes and yes. There is also a Rev3 full that's less than a half hour away from where I live in... I think October. I've heard it's a great course/race as well.

And HI yourself. Long time no see.

That's too bad.  I should maybe look at FL races in general.  Maybe XTERRA or goof off brand HIM or something.  I just want to get my gear and travel someplace to race, n'est-ce pas?  Turn it into a vacation.

Destination race/vacation - That might be a good idea for 2014.  Take the camper for a week away from the world and go to race and then chill at the campgrounds after most everyone leaves for the weekend.

Training our bodies to work efficiently in Zone 2 will help us keep our HR and pace even throughout an Ironman. This theory would hold true for the bike and run portion of an Ironman race.
