Sweet!  I just found out that there is a picture of me from AG Nats in the fall issue of USA Triathlon magazine. 

i have a co-worker who dressed up as dracula yesterday, and is dressed as a cat today.  keep in mind that i work in a FACTORY where tails and capes are at very least a safety hazard, also keep in mind that it's NOT halloween yet, and this is not the kind of workplace that has costume contest day or whatever.

The neck is better today - though I'll spare you all of the gross, crusty details.  Suffice it to say, this is the WORST wetsuit hickey I've ever gotten!  

Sue - you're gettin' close to race day!!  I'm excited to start stalking you... in the non-creepy way.

Ha!  Tony's now looking at potential races for next year, and I'm wondering if I train hard enough, can break 13 at Chattanooga... 

Because a male in the cat costume in a factory would paint an ENTIRELY different visual.

That finish line video was absolutely AWESOME!

What did y'all think of the battleship tour?  The ex-Navy part of me was totally geeked, and it also made me even more excited about the teak wood finisher plaques made from the ship's decking.

An old posting went something like this: 

My boss told me to dress for the job you WANT, and not the job you have.  So today I am in a disciplinary meeting in my cat women suit. 

I absolutely LOVED crossing that finish line!  And I still have NO idea how the heck I had that much energy, or how the hell I really wasn't sore AT ALL after the race.  Whaaaaat?   

The ship was amazing.  We were in there for a good 2 hours or so looking at everything and trying to make the ship turn on or something by flipping every switch and turning every dial that would move.  Somehow I think they've had others try that before as nothing actually happened.    

Oh - do you have a link for where I can order a finisher plaque?  I was hoping it would be in the email that got sent about finishers gear, but it wasn't.  Pout. 

I'll see if I can find something on a receipt or something.  The people doing it weren't directly affiliated with the race, I believe...
