I'd been thinking about going back to IMAZ in ''14 but this might be too convenient to pass up.

I am in as long as I submit the entry form before it sells out. It seems like this is going to sell out fast. A lot of buzz around this race.

this really is great news for the local tri community.   We now have every distance a reasonable drive from Atlanta.  Really, this is a reasonable drive for most of GA.   I will be interested how the course comes together.  For my first, I will still be looking towards IM FL, but this could be interesting purely for logistics. 

I'm in. I swore off Ironman due to the time it takes to train, but this is too darn close to ignore.

I am in. Was going to do FL but this will cut the budget in half for me. IM Chatt it is.

I dont know when it'll sell out. I'll be sitting at my computer when it opens just in case..

I am curious how the volunteer turnout will be for IM Florida this year. For those volunteering just to secure a 2014 slot possibly signing up for Chattanooga before hand and locking in on a later 2014 IM, hmmm, this may be the year that IM-Fl doesn't sell out quite as fast?

I haven't participated or even attended a full IM race so I am not sure how large the volunteer ranks are and how many do it just for a shot to sign-up for the following year.

Late September with a course that is not pancake flat, Chattanooga will be a great venue at a great time of year. Good luck to those signing up.

The downtown Hiltons (Hampton, HGI, Doubletree) and the Holiday Inn don't take reservations online more than a year in advance.

The Sheraton downtown does. It's rate for Friday night 9/19/14 (one week before) is $109 + tax. It's rate for Friday night 9/26/14 (race weekend) is $169 + tax.

After the run on the bank to register there will be a run on the bank to get hotel reservations. May be time to look at renting a house.

Really wish I could do this one, but, it doesn't look like an IM is in the cards for 2014.

I will. I have scheduled a 'meeting' here at the office for that time and will have the phone turned off also.

I am betting on this thing selling out quick just going by the buzz at the pool.

I'm gonna be locked and loaded at noon.

I blocked out the time on my outlook calender so no one can schedule anything!

I'm holding out for IMAZ. IMChatt may or may not be a quick sell-out and I'll keep my fingers crossed I can sneak in if Arizona isn't happening. Wishing all you folks good luck in getting a number today.
