It was a smooth morning for not feeling all that good

It was run in then a R at first buoy. There was a group of us then I jumped on this guys feet only to find he was slowing. So I went to his side and within 100 meters I was out front. Didnt push it cause I did not need to and was first out of water
What would you do differently?:

Nothing it was a calm easy swim

I was leading till about mile 15ish I knew I was gonna get passed it was just a matter of time. But just as swim I was keeping things easy and just going with it.

I was not expecting all too much, just tried to stay relaxed and knock off miles. When it was all said and done I finished 5th OA and 1st Masters and still would have been a 1 in AG.
What would you do differently?:

Wear my Newtons, I didnt cause it looked like there was more of the run on sand

What limited your ability to perform faster:

speed work in training, have not been doing too much with IRONMAN training

Event comments:

Good race in a great spot. The park is nice although roads are a bit rougher then they looked on the way in. I would do it again for sure. One of the better Multirace events I have done
