Brilliant! Shot soda out my nose reading that one!

On the Whole Foods note; they were out of raspberry carmelita bars last Sunday.

I need to buy an automatic watch winder because I'm tired of having to reset the date/time when I switch the watch I'm wearing.

They're changing security systems at work so I had to walk 10 minutes to get a new ID that will let me into the parking garage.  Such a hassle.

Here it is, folks--the infamous rubber ducky on my running route in Saigon!

ETA And You can also see one of my previous first world problems, the bubble gum pink Timex Ironman watch, if you look closely. It goes nicely with the duck.

It was raining when we left for work, so the new car stayed in the garage while we drove the old mini van to work. Ugh.

I have been wracking my brain for days and I can't seem to come up with a workable justification to present to the wife in favor of my "need" for a Garmin Fenix 2.

On a related note my dang 305 will not break!

I was having trouble synching my old 205 and went through the exact same thought process! Unfortunately, it was the computer

At a dinner, my prime rib slab was too big. But I ate in anyway and complained of too much meat.

Even worse I was going through some mail deciding what to throw away last night and I found a coupon for 20% off one full priced item from REI. The Fenix 2 was to be mine!!!

Then I saw that the coupon expired 2 weeks ago.

Possible redemption though, the wife, who has a knack for getting people to do things for her, is going to stop in at REI and see if they will give her the 20% anyway.

The beef in my Trader Joe's pre-packaged dinner was too fatty so I had to trim each piece before I would eat it.  It took 10 minutes to prepare and almost as long to trim off the fat.  The rest of the meal was cold by the time I got done.

I'm a bit of a car nut, but I have to park my 911 outside since I only have a one car garage and it stores another older car which I cherish a bit more. My friends think I'm nuts, but I just say "If this is the only problem I have, then it's not a problem."

That is not a problem, that is a straight up emergency! Get a bigger garage ASAP!

You own a Porsche, but your house only has a one car garage? I'm guessing you live up North or in California. In Texas, there's no way you'd own a car like that and a house with only a one car garage. I'm not even sure we have houses old enough to only  have a one car garage, in Texas.

Advantages of the third world--it's easier to get the last drops out of a real coconut. Plus you can then scoop out the flesh and eat that. Plus it's way cheaper.....unless you're Moondawg!

On the subject of prime rib.....sob. There actually is a place to get it here but very expensive. A parent gave me a gift certificate (maybe for Teacher's Day or my birthday--can't remember) for $25 worth of free dinner at the best steak place in my part of the city that would have almost paid for a decent steak dinner....and then I lost it. I knew it expired Dec. 31, and looked for it everywhere until I had to leave for Christmas. Finally assumed I'd accidentally thrown it out somehow.

I found the certificate last night.....inside a file folder marked "Travel Bookings". Huh?

My friends wanted to go for a ride, and I was running late, so I had to take one Cervelo off the trainer and use that one with the heavy tires and skewer, since I had taken the wheels off the other Cervelo for cleaning.

I've got a couple winders but my favorite one got burned up and the workings ate themselves to powder because my Breitling was too heavy..

We recently got a new, very high-tech washer and dryer. Since the dryer no longer has to be vented outside, we were able to put them washer>dryer, left to right, the way G-d intended them to be (they couldn't sit that way before, because they dryer needed to be next to the exterior wall on the left).

Anyway, our cleaning person usually tosses all the rags that she's used for cleaning the kitchen and bathroom into the washing machine when she's done with them. She didn't notice that the washer is now where the dryer is, and vice versa, and so she tossed a pile of dirty, cleaning-solution-soaked rags right on top of a load of laundry in the dryer that we hadn't taken out yet. So this morning, when I went to get running clothes from the dryer, they all smelled like ammonia, and I had to pick a different outfit to wear.
