Ok, I couldn't ride the harley to work today because I had to go pick up the new ski boat from the dealer... It was a perfect day too... 70 degrees and no wind... so to make up for not riding the motorcycle, I took the Cervelo for a ride, but my garmin was dead, so I have no idea how far or how efficient I was...

I didn't fly Malaysian.....And I don't think the budget hoppers have enough fuel on board for a free trip to Antarctica.

Damn......I've had a Harley, a new ski boat, and a Cervelo......but never at the same time....that's strong work.

I have a very, very understanding wife... who also does Triathlons and is a competitive waterskier.... So she got the P5 purchase.. and the new boat purchase.... the harley is the oddball here... I did that when she was out of town (oops.) She got a new tri bike from that purchase...

someone at work was recently complaining that they have to drive an hour to get to the dealer to get work done on their car ...because that is the nearest porsche dealership.

At a fancy beach resort with first world prices, so it's a first world problem. When I checked in, for some reason the basic double room that I booked was upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite with four bathrooms, three levels, a kitchen/dining room big enough to host a banquet for 10 people, a giant deck with another large table, loungers, and a plunge pool. Problem? I keep misplacing stuff because it's just too darn big for one person. And we all know how much STUFF a triathlon involves! Yesterday I misplaced the key and spent an hour before finding it in the upstairs bathroom.

my in-laws aren't going to have as much free time as they would like this summer because they are having their "closet guy" re-do the closets in their mountain house.

i don't even know how i didn't roll my eyes at them at lunch today.

There aren't enough happy faces around.
Having to see people with mean faces stinks.
Is life really that bad? All the time??
Life's too short to walk around looking like you're constipated.

Our country club just opened this past Wednesday. I wanted to maybe get a quick 9 in Saturday, but we had a hail storm that damaged the greens. They are now closed until Wednesday. My only other options are public courses.

I work at a multi-campus university.  My "official" work email address was automatically assigned to an email address that didn't exist so I wasn't getting announcements from the main HR office or messages from the president of the university where I work.  Finally got it fixed and now I'm getting announcements from another campus.

My cat just had expensive surgery and I was worried that my bank card limit would be too low to pay for it and I'd have to use a credit card.

It's been a rough week.

My credit card company came out with a "Platinum" card which everyone else already has. I have to wait two more weeks to get mine. Until then I have to use my cruddy gold card. Sheesh!!

If you're handy, sometimes you can take the rear wheels off and mount them "inside out" which gives the mower a wider stance.   Depends on the mower.  Congrats on the weight-loss!

Here's one from last week -- the loaner car from the Mercedes dealership was a little too small for my liking. I mean, I had to drive it about 30 miles during the day before I got my other car back! Oh, the humanity!!

I don't even live in the first world, or know exactly which world I live in, but this doesn't really seem like a third world problem. My "track" (an riverfront promenade where I've measured out 400m that doesn't require any turns or road crossings) has been taken over by roped-off stages, souvenir stalls, and thousands of people flocking to see/photograph/listen to outdoor concerts in front of a giant (as in about six stories tall) inflatable rubber ducky sitting out there in the river. It's supposed to be there till May 31. WTF?

It's spreading "joy and happiness"  http://saigoneer.com/saigon-news/1851-giant-globetrotting-duck-coming-to-saigon-this-month1

It came to China.   And of course the Chinese photoshoppers got hold of it.    Who says the Chinese don't have a sense of humor?

Duck, tank man.

I accidentally changed the setting on my burr grinder for my coffee yesterday. It ground to fine for a French press so I had to have a pour over instead.
