Looks like we're going to have another windy race- though not as bad as last year! I did a practice swim today and , as mentioned above, the water was a bit cool, but you can easily go without a suit. I'm going to wear. 2 piece sleeveless one- hoping that gives me the benefit of extra buoyancy without being too hot or too constricted. Good luck every one,

I thought that overall it was a great day for a race but there were some head winds on the bike. Rev3 put on a great race - from my perspective it went off without a hitch.

Yeah, I have no idea how Rev3 designed a bike route that had a consistent headwind. Very nicely organized race, awesome support on the run and bike. Didn't really like the grates on the drawbridge but 15 sec out of 2+ hours, I'm good with that.

It was an awesome race. The only other half I have done was HITS and this was head and shoulders above in terms of experience. I wasn't thrilled with the amount of bike course turns but every turn was well marked.
I came home with enough freebies that I am almost sure my race registration paid off itself. Also, I set a 58 min PR on my half. It was an amazing day-- glad you all enjoyed it too

Wish I could have been there.  Unfortunately, we had house guests all weekend for a previously-scheduled family event.  I'm planning to be there next year!

Congrats to everyone who did the race!

Mark

I was not an official; I simply observed the race and the officials doing their thing. Here is what I saw:
