Subject: RE: 2012 Felt B16 - Crankset Compatibilty Thanks Dezs3028 (and also the other poster )
It's great to know that i can go ahead and get a matching groupset rather than stay with the FSA. One of the main reasons for this is that i want to add a power meter and with the Stages power meter being relatively inexpensive i planned on installed one of those on the non drive side crank however some checks have to be done first.
Below is a statement from StagesCycling.com
The Stages Power meter mounts to the backside of the left crank arm we must have enough clearance between the backside of the crank and the frame to mount the meter. Our first baseline test is to measure 8.5cm from the center of the spindle attachment, with this reference point turn your crank so that it’s parallel and in front of your non-drive chainstay. In this orientation place a 10mm Allen key behind your crank at the 8.5cm mark. If the Allen key fits, then our Stages Power meter will fit your frame. If the Allen key does NOT fit, please contact us for further instructions, as a Stages Power meter may still fit your bike.
Do you know if there is 10mm clearance behind the crank arm at the 8.5cm mark? I'm riding a 170mm therefore if anyone has the same crank length that would be able to check it would be awesome!
Thanks everyone
