Champion 6503 NOVA - Ironic for an Endurance Athlete | Subject: I am intolerant of stuff ... ...but I wish that I was more tolerant. - Drivers turning with no blinkers - Cyclists who put themselves in harms way constantly and blame motorists - People throwing cigarettes out of cars - Cops speeding without their emergency lights on - Anyone driving more than 20 mph over the speed limit - Morbidly obese smokers - Untrained dogs whose owners who think that their dogs are kids and talk to them with baby voices I have are a ton more, but would you share yours. I wish that it didn't make my blood pressure rise. I want to be more tolerant, and I am trying... |

Don't try for tolerance. Try for patience. |

Pro 6520 Bellingham, WA | Subject: RE: I am intolerant of stuff ... The thing I am most intolerant of is people that text while driving. If I see someone weaving all over the road with their head down texting I'll get there attention and try to communicate some type of WTF? We have had some tragic deaths in the area over the past couple of years but people just don't seem to get it. |

I'm with you OP especially on the cops speeding like maniacs and blowing through red lights by turning on their sirens but then off after the intersection. It's hard to respect them when a few do this and make the rest look that bad but we remember the bad not so much the good to often Edited by Jtiger 2013-09-11 7:05 AM |

Yeah, yeah I'm sure those people already give like 30% to charity and work in the soup kitchen three days a week. I don't care. Give that $12 to the soup kitchen and not towards a couple double mocha frap fat iced jumbo whips. |

Master 3127 Sunny Southern Cal | Subject: RE: I am intolerant of stuff ... I've had a bad week for tolerance after nearly being run over twice on the same run. Once by a girl chatting away on her phone while she ran a stop sign going at least 15 mph and making a right turn while only looking left. The other by some jerk who gunned it straight at me across a 4-way stop intersection. That intersection really needs a signal put in, but I haven't even been able to get the city to consider putting in a marked cross walk. I guess they prefer to see several fatalities before they'll take any action. |

This happens so regularly that sometimes now I'll stop and wait and as they pull out failing to look I'll hit the side of their car with my fist. The other day on the same run I had two different cars filled with obese people fail to yield to me running--one was turning into a McDonalds, the other a Taco Bell. Priceless. |

Champion 7821 Brooklyn, NY | Subject: RE: I am intolerant of stuff ... People who, after waiting in line for something (getting coffee, for example) are TOTALLY UNPREPARED when they get to the front of the line and stand there deliberating. The time to figure out what the heck you want is during the ten minutes that you were waiting in line, not the moment the cashier asks you for your order. People who walk their bikes on the “cyclist” side of the MUP instead of the “pedestrians” side. I know this is complicated, tourists pushing your rental bikes, but merely being in the presence of a bicycle does not make you a cyclist. |

Couple of 30 something's in line at McDonalds and couldn't decide what they wanted. They were looking the menu up and down. My internal comment was. Seriously, it's fricken McDonalds. They've had the same menu for your entire life and you've probably eaten here 10,000 times and you don't know what you want??? |
