Subject: If money were not an issue, which TT bike would you choose?
I recently have come to love bikes and everything about them from upgrades, style, etc.

My question that I wanted to pose: Is if money were not an issue, which TT bike would you ride?

I current am on a Felt B16, and would definitely choose the Felt IA FRD

Would love to hear other people's opinions...

P5-Six with Dura Ace Di2 and Zipp 808 Full Carbon Clinchers (A disk would be nice for racing).

That new Felt is sweet! If money were no object that would be the one and I would need a custom frame size to boot since the largest size still doesn't fit me.

I couldn't care less about brand. I'd find the frame that fits me the best and spend a ton on the fitting then tweak out every part for optimal comfort and performance so the bike works flawlessly and is easy to manage.

Don't want to be picky (oh well, I will be...), but that's not a TT bike... that's a Tri bike. The difference is in the geometry and if the general design (geometric, tubing, etc.) complies with UCI regulations.

Either way, the new Felt IA is a hot bike.... at this point, I can't ride (dislocated shoulder...) so no new bike in near future, but if I would pick one, it would probably be the one I just sold, Look 596Tri or a Parlee TT (which, despite the name, is a tri bike) with Di2 or EPS.

I consider both my choices still correct... they were both UCI legal... once... long long ago.

* Oh I want to add that super plain Secret Squirrel bike from last years Olympics to my list.

I would go with a 2014 Trek Speed Concept Project One with the new 11-speed Di2 and Bontrager Aeolus 9 wheels.

Like the one currently sitting in my house that I just built last weekend. Cool

If money was truly no issue, then I would be talking to one of the Formula One race teams to design and build something from the ground up.  Might hire some former NASA engineers as consultants.  Would have them work with one of the tire companies to make a custom tire to work with the bike design.  All that would be followed by hours in a wind tunnel working on fit, helmet design, clothing, etc.

If I had to keep the budget to something less than seven or eight figures, then I'd probably settle for a Cannondale Slice RS.

Can we disregard fit as well?  Because most of these dream bike, even if I had a million dollars to spend won't fit me.

I would have to get one custom built.  Or basically go with whatever Cervello makes.  They are the only company in my research that makes them large enough for me.

I'm easy to please. Either:

- Cervelo P5-6 with full Durace Di2, and a set of Zipp808 or HED Jet9s
- A lovingly restored & modified Zip 3001 with a new 3T Ventus II Cockpit, Durace Di2, and a set of Zipp808 or HED Jet9s

Cervelo P3, maybe even a P2 depending on which fits better.
My needs are simple and I will be able to afford this next year and get off of my Trek SC.

I have a Speedconcept 9.8 2011 model. I would love to Project 1 the new 2014 SC or the New Felt would be my choice for a new bike l don't really need a new one though, but I'd like some power though.

So when it comes to triathlon, the largest investment we make, in both terms, comes in the bike. Looking at ways to get faster, while considering a budget, is a bind for most triathletes.
