What do you guys think of an OWS and grilling on Sunday, August 6th?

There is a great spot 54 miles from Dallas (south) that we have access to and the waters should be good for us to swim and play in. We'll have jetski's and maybe a party boat (if needed) so we'll be protected if there are other watercrafts on the water but usually its quiet down there.

John, I guess you'll be in Alaska but what about everyone else?

#$@!**

I am going to be out of town that weekend.  Maybe I can join in next time.  Thanks for the offer.

Darn!  I'll be in Colorado that weekend.  I would totally go if we were going to be in town.  The 6th is also the same day as River Cities which I know a few folks are doing.

Well, I wanted to have it this weekend but I was overruled. We can try for another weekend in Sept. possibly. The water will still be warm and there will be far less people as well.

Sounds like a blast, but I'm out for the 6th (River Cities) and probably Sept., too.  (anticipated response from wife: "What do you mean you're going jet skiing while I stay at home with the new baby??"  <loud bang... followed by silence>  "Hello 911?  I'd like to report a homicide."

No, no, no! No jetskiing...Open water swimming! None of that fun stuff. (this is what you say).
Really, the jetski's are to make sure we don't get run over by boaters.

Awww darn.....Cry  I'll be thinking of you all taking a dip in the tepid, bathwater-warm waters of North Texas while I do an OWS in the 60-degree waters of Knik Lake in Alaska.

As soon as it is re-scheduled, let us know. If it is a Saturday, I'm in. If it is a Sunday,
I may have to make some adjustments. I could bring our jetski too if an extra is needed.

I'm interested in Aug 20 (out of town Aug 6), but need to check to be sure we don't have anything planned.

Are kids welcome?

Oh, it's going twice? How did I miss that?

Also, if I'm able to go, I'm bringing the uni!

Hmm, 54 miles south of Dallas would be, what, about 190 miles north of Houston?

Well, considering I'm racing on the 5th and most likely traveling on the 20th, it looks like I may not be able to make the journey. Post pics.

I'm out.

I have a stress fracture in the tibia and am currently banned from swimming, biking, running (duh!) and about everything else in between.  Sucks!  Anyway... sorry I'll miss it.
