My husband took some video at The Wall. Maybe you can find yourself there. Hope you will enjoy it.

Very nice video! One of my athletes told me about the fog on the water. He wasn't exaggerating about how bad it was.

Thanks for sharing this video. This was the first year the leading bike didn't make it up the wall according to Kyle.

Awesome vid!

Funny how a few people remained seated to the bitter end. 3 RPM, barely vertical and still refusing to get out of the saddle :P

Dave Scott didn't make it up in '11 - wasn't he the lead bike at the time? Or was someone ahead of him I wonder.....

No, The Man wasn't the first bike.  My wife and sister were spectating on the Wall, and he fell right in front of them.  Several other athletes went up ahead of him.

I'm really considering doing this race next year as my "A" race sorta... We have another baby on the way so there won't be enough time for me to train for full IM in 2014 but 1/2's shouldn't be that big of a deal I wouldn't think.

6717 feet of climbing is pretty nuts...oh and so is 31% grade on the wall at the end!

I did this race with a volume typical of a 70.3 with a heavy bike focus. It wasn't enough to "race", but just enough to finish.

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.
