How do I get this to go away?
Thought if I clicked on it, it would go away like the "new message" and "new inspire" notifications do. But it's still there.

Kind of annoying...

I was just looking through the forums to determine where I should post my hate of this thing too.

DO NOT WANT.

This is something that we brought back from the old site...we just ran out of time from the intial site rollout.  I think it went away the next day or after a logout.

Is it not working like it was on the old site?  I'm a little confused regarding this.

It's right up in the corner, next to the name and it says "2 new articles" like instead of "message" or "inspire".

It's misleading and makes me feel like I've got a new inspire or message but I don't.

Also, when you go look at the new article, the notification does not go away. It stays there.

Gotcha.  Will work on making it instantly go away after the first click....like the inspires or inbox.

thanks I agree with Laura.  Annoying.  I never liked that feature.  Also is chat gone forever?

how about don't put it there at all. put it in a different spot rather right where you expect to see new inspires

I don't really strength train (because I never have and don't really know much about it) and feel like my lack of upper body strength is the reason why I'm not getting faster.
