Subject: Has anyone damaged their bike using windex or pledge?
Has anyone ever had personal experience using windex or pledge for an extended period of time and it causing bike damage? Everywhere I look there are people who swear by the products or claim that these products will destroy one's bike. I just want to know if there is any evidence of this "destruction."

I've used Pledge forever. Never had an issue.

I use windex when I get off the trainer. I just read that Pledge should be safe. Plus it will smell lemony fresh.

Is there anything that I can do to lessen the chances of stress fractures. I have had no luck with the doctors I have seen. Some have advised orthotics, some say there is nothing that can be done.

Is there any current literature or recommendations on this subject, and when do you know it's time to stop activities like running before the damage is done or worsened?
