If you've never done a shorter distance tri (sprint/olympic ) and don't have much background outside of running I'd start slow with biking and swimming. Work up a base and then go from there. Use the training plans on this website. I'm starting week 3 of a couch to sprint plan right now, then I have back to back "bridge" programs from sprint to olympic and then olympic to 70.3 that end on my race weekend (June 29, 2014 ). |
