What Fat Tire are you on now?

Not enough!  I'm not saying it's not going to happen but there's still like 11 miles left in the women's race.  She's making me eat my words so far and that's cool by me.

Fawk, she's running better than Van Lierde!  Dang!

LOL!  They just said she's the fastest runner on the course right now.

I suspect she'll sort of settle in at this point, and just do what she needs to to hold the lead.  She's not going to go any faster than she needs to.  Winning is more important than the run course record.

It's shaped up to be a great race.

Yes, it's been a fantastic race.  Best thing that ever happened was for Chrissy to retire.  I was hoping for more from Seby, fear Starky took him a bit off his bike strategy but that's how it is.  Amazing.  Can't wait to race there some day.

Dang, Docherty looks to have imploded.  Bummer as I was hoping to see him finish strong but that cat will be a contender in the future.

From the feed:

Mirinda Carfrae is on track to set a new course record. She has 1:09 to cover 10 miles - she's running much faster than that right now.

I'm not sucking from Rinny but you gotta love the "she ONLY has 10 miles to set a new course record".

On the men's side, do you think there was a Starky effect?

Right?  Awesome!  Makes you wonder, the way Seby rode up on Starky and Luke as well, if there was no Starky what would it have looked like?

I'm a big Seby fan just because he homestayed for a summer with friends of mine.

Someone on ST mentioned an appendage measuring contest.  I don't know how you avoid that, but it certainly seemed to be part of the game today;)

Just saw Jason's in off the bike in 6:07:11

BTW, if you're on Twitter Callum Millward has been quite entertaining today.

I only had 6 weeks to prepare, so I pushed myself pretty hard while I was training. After my first figure competition, my trainer had me take a week off just to rest and recoup. Was this needed?

I can't say it enough, the feeling of treading water for that final minute, helicopters over head, Mike Riley's Iron-voice over the P.A. - just awesome. I cannot believe I'm here!

Well the day is finally here. I don't believe a single workout has gone by in these past 9 years where the idea of being at the start line of the Ironman Hawaii didn't creep into my head.
