Subject: Finding 2014 Races
I've been looking to set up my 2014 race season but i'm struggling to find races for next year yet. Am I looking to early or am I using the wrong sites? Can anyone help me find some races in VA for the 2014 season?

Looks like Set-Up Events has not updated their schedule yet. I know that the Angels Race was moved back a couple of weeks from this year.

RMS has the 2014 schedule out.

I sat down and did a preliminary calender of my races this weekend. Looks like I have to plan stuff a year in advance. :-/

All good suggestions.

I'd also say to take a look at 2013 for any other site listing as well... Here on BT, Tri find, marathon guide, etc.  For the most part races tend to keep the same schedule year after year.  So if you see X race the first weekend in May in 2013, chances are it will be the first weekend in May in 2014 as well.

Be aware on the changes for this year. Kinda bummed that the Goochland Sprint was dropped. I had planned on doing it this year but it was on the same weekend we left for vacation.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The 2014 schedule is now posted! If you are a veteran VTS athlete you will notice some changes. A few notable changes are as follows:

Rumpus in Bumpass -Still in hiatus, until the Lake Anna Beach Marina is back in operation, this race is on permanent hiatus.

Angels Race is now April 27th!

East Coast Super Sprint in Richmond is now part of the Series and is put on by Endorphin Fitness!

Salem YMCA is no longer part of the Series.

Goochland Sprint is no longer part of the Series.

Luray International & Sprint are no longer part of the Series.

Giant Acorn - Now located at Lake Anna State Park

Anyone else know of any independent produced races that need some advertising?

My expectations for the quality of this years’ Triathlon world championship were fulfilled. This was because of the superb location that is like no other along with having the top triathletes present.
