Swim
  • 10m
  • 300 meters
  • 03m 20s / 100 meters
Comments:

The swimmnig segment was the most difficult. Reality has kept me from training these last two weeks and the pool is where that really hurt. Swimming the full 50 meters - not pretty.
What would you do differently?:

Train more - pure and simple.
Transition 1
  • 02m 31s
Comments:

The decision not to wear socks was the correct one. It saved lots of time.
What would you do differently?:

Do a better job of drying my feet. Duh!
Bike
  • 43m 3s
  • 12 miles
  • 16.72 mile/hr
Comments:

I was disappointed with my results with the bike. I thought I'd do better with an average over 17 mph.
What would you do differently?:

Ride more. I also think that using the trainer is good but it doesn't mimic the strains of the road
Transition 2
  • 02m 34s
Run
  • 26m 47s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 08m 38s  min/mile
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

The swim portion is my weakest event. I need to really work on that. Being sick last the last two weeks didn't help. I stopped training. I know that hurt the swim and I didn't get many runs in.

You may not have been happy with the swim, but definitely recovered for the run! Nice job!

Great job, I was in your group, # 399. 9th Pl. That was a fun race, I actually hadn't been swimming and swam well, my run was a bit slower then I hoped for. Oh well, I had a great time. They put on good races.

My first triathlon was at age 56. At first I was just the cameraman at my daughter's first triathlon, then I am doing the races that she has done.
