Train alone or together?

Have a list of good quality tri coaches who would train slightly disabled people?

Would they reccomend/decline the Chattanooga tri club as a good one?

Just a couple of questions from a new person to the state. Any help would be welcome

To answer your question about the Chattanooga tri club, I doubt you'll find one any better. It is by far the best $25 I've ever spent on anything triathlon related! We get some amazing benefits as members that I won't post since it will tick some people off. Since Ironman came to town our membership has doubled! The membership base is also very active. I would recommend following their Facebook page.

I'm assuming you are somewhat disabled because of your question. I doubt that will be an issue with any coach. We all have something limiting us from reaching our full potential. I don't know all of the coaches in the area, however I would recommend talking with Andy or Jamie at Hub Endurance. They are coaches and both have their strengths. Hub is the only full service triathlon store in the area. If you are looking for swim help, I would recommend joining the YMCA's Masters swim class. I've been in that class since May and I've improved tremendously. It's well worth your time.

Most of us train together and alone. For me it's impossible to always train with someone else. I have to fit in workouts when I can.

If you have any more questions, please let me know.

I couldn’t help but feel that the race had beaten me. Perhaps duathlons were more for me? No, I was more determined than ever to succeed. I was determined to get on top of my swimming.

I quickly browsed an article in Men's Health that talked about doing a triathlon, and how it wasn't really that hard. With a "tsk!" I quickly turned the page while thinking, "Yeah, right!"

This life of mine is not so different from yours. It has a multitude of similarities. I suffer from uncertainty, I get nervous at the thought of registering and when getting to the starting line.

I am not going to buy a tri-suit before my first tri - I want to make sure I am going to stick with this before I spend a lot of money on it so I want to figure out what will work best.

I couldn't believe that my splits kept getting lower! I started to run harder after I passed the "5 km" sign and picked a few people that I wanted to pass.
