Subject: RE: New business name/site- another WWCOJD I like the name and the meaning behind it. However I don't think it works as a marketable name. No one will know how to pronounce it, it will be hard to remember and it will be hard to find online. I know you don't want to be the next Specialized, but you do want people to be able to remember your name when they see it on your tshirt, or when they see a sticker. Or when they see one of your bikes on a ride they need to be able to find you later on. Perhaps keep the name but come up with an abbreviated version for print and online advert. mscycles.com or something along those lines. I can see that on a sticker and remember it to look it up later. Once I get to the site I can see the real name and read about the meaning. I can also refer friends to mscycles, I can't however refer them to the official name unless I have it on me in print or in my phone or something. So keep the name, but figure out something else to use as a title. Maybe even a cyclebydave.com or something really easy like that. Anyway, glad to see you pursuing a dream to build frames, hope it all goes well and looking forward to seeing a completed product! |
