Comments:

I got stuck behind a raft on first turn and couldn't get around. I was so nervous and had little sleep. These conditions mixed with my medication cause severe nausea half way through the swim course. Tougher it out.
What would you do differently?:

I will definitely pay attention to what is around me and make sure im ahead of any rafts before i get to buoys. Sleep and skip meds before a race.
Transition 1
  • 03m 55s
Comments:

Was just trying to keep my breakfast down.
What would you do differently?:

RUN faster to my transition post!
Bike
  • 30m 25s
  • 7 miles
  • 13.81 mile/hr
Comments:

Couldn't keep track of my speed because my computer sensor fell off and way dangling on my axle the whole ride. Didn't think I was doing to bad as I was passing a lot people. Thought I was making up time lost in the swim. See time after race proved otherwise but that what I get for not training sufficiently on the bike.
What would you do differently?:

Check equipment better before race! Train harder.
Transition 2
  • 00m
Run
  • 30m 39s
  • 2 miles
  • 15m 20s  min/mile
Comments:

Damn it's was hard getting off that bike and running. I was so slow. Good news, I started to feel better half way through the run and was able to drink some water without feel of vomiting. I think I could half walked faster than I was running, then I tried that and I was wrong. I walked much slower then my trot. I didn't think that was possible. Finished the race with my grandson, Lucas, running ahead of me showing me how to cross the finish line.
What would you do differently?:

Just train more AND do more brick training. Oh wait, that means I would of had to ridden my bike. Ah, I think I see the problem.
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of adequate training and my weight.

Event comments:

Had a blast. I will do it again. I now have a time to beat. Next year I want to slaughter this years time. Next year, I run for me! The whole course, I will run, run, RUN!
