Subject: Cannondale Slice 5
All right, I'm looking for a new tri bike and the shop that I went to has the 2013 and 2014 versions of the Cannondale Slice 5. It appears as though the 2014 bike has slightly better components (105's ) versus the 2013 bike (mix of tiagra and 105) for less money (2013 for $2450 vs 2014 @ $2100)! Am I missing something here?

My daughter just got a  2013 slice 5 it has all 105 components, not sure about the mix you've seen. I'm pretty sure Cannondales website only shows the slice 5 with 105s. The bike she got as a compact crankset, I've seen some with 53x39. It's a nice bike glad she got it.

Assuming they're the same bike I wonder why the price went down this year? Did Cannondale cheap out on some aspect of the 2014 bike?

FYI, that's the bike that Nytro advertises in the BT banner advertisements. $2000 plus some shipping costs for the bike plus a wetsuit, pedals, shoes, and some extras. It's a pretty good deal.

I checked Cannondale's website and confirmed the 2013 Slice 105 has an MSRP of $2450 and had a Tiagra chain and cassette which the 2014 Slice 105 has upgraded.

That said, I never saw the 2013 Slice 105 actually sell for $2450 in stores.  I remember seeing it at my LBS for $1995.

All of my road rash has healed, but my right shoulder is still in a lot of pain. I have started swimming, but only really, really light workouts. Do you have any recommendations on stretches?

I'm not sure if one of these models is better, both are from 2009 aluminum/carbon combinations. I realize this is a difficult question but any thoughts as which bike is better for a woman?
