I live 5 minutes away from this location, but.... I will not be doing this one this year (way out of shape). Hopefully next year if they run it again. If anyone needs info on the area, please shoot me a pm or post here for others to see. I plan on driving the bike route this coming week to see the hills, I do know there are some steep hills in some sections of this race. The run portion is going to be extremely nice since it looks like its on the edge of the river (Sheltowee Trace trail), which I have walked this trail many times.

I shot over an email to the race directors asking for specific run/bike routes, will post when I receive them.

I camp near Grove Marina every weekend during the summer. Very familiar with the area. The hills on the bike will be tough… I have only done sprint length distance tri's so far and I am out of shape…. 20+ weeks to go. Just looking for a finish…. Hopefully you will change your mind and give it a shot…

Heard on the news a man collapsed and is in a coma. Sounded like he was either in T2 or shortly into the run. I hope he comes through okay.

My first triathlon was at age 56. At first I was just the cameraman at my daughter's first triathlon, then I am doing the races that she has done.

The triathlon made a lot of sense as I could fit the training around early mornings and other times that wouldn't eat too much into my family time. Things never go completely to plan do they?

I found a sprint, the Lake Las Vegas Triathlon, that was happening four months down the road and signed myself up; much to the surprise of friends and family.

The first time I ventured into the deep murky green lake and could not see the bottom my muscles tensed and my imagined fears surfaced. What exactly lies beneath?

Both the Lake Triathlon Shoe CX210TRI and the Lake Road Shoe CX225 offer distinct advantages. I tested both shoes and found them to be extremely comfortable, good looking and durable.

A description of my experiences during my first triathlon. It was a great experience. I’m in better shape than I’ve ever been.

If you are calm while everyone around you is losing it, you probably don’t know what the hell is going on.
