Subject: Total Calories Burned?

OK, I realize I would probably know this if I didn’t repeatedly fall off the exercise/BT wagon…

There used to be a “total calories burned” line on my log, with XX from “activity" and YY from “just existing” (or something like that.)  Did that go away?  I have the “enable calories burned” in my log settings, with height/weight/activity level all filled out, and I’m seeing calories consumed from the nutrition log, but no calories burned - I seem to recall that the burned wouldn’t show up until you at least put something in the health or body metrics section for the day - does it not work that way anymore?

Or worse yet, is it right there on my log and I am just not seeing it?

Right now, it will show calories data if you log an activity (not just health data)...though that would be a good idea to log calories burned for just health data.

Very devious of you to make me exercise so I can see it!

Thanks!

I have burning hips. They start to hurt about 20 miles into a bike ride and then they hurt as I try to sleep all night long. Stretching and massage don't seem to make much difference.

A powerful attraction of the calories in/calories out paradigm is its apparent simplicity. Unfortunately, the human body isn’t so simple and that is why this seemingly wonderful formula doesn't work.

They are comfortable, but on longer runs the ball of my foot starts to heat up. I actually had to STOP, take off the shoe, massage my foot. This would help for a while, but the pain usually returned.

Most of us in the triathlon world are concerned with more than just fat burning. There are certain situations when it’s appropriate to use fins during a workout.
