(on the HR version) Looking, for example, at Week 1 Day 3, which reads:

MS:3x10' (3' Rest@ 75-80%) as 1st @85-90, 2nd @90-95, 3th @95-100%

Does that mean 10 of work, then 3 of rest, or 7 of work, 3 of rest, total 10? The instructions seem to say the former (10+3), but then none of the times add up to the total times listed for the workout.
Thanks!

10 work, 3 rest

Should take 39 minutes + warm up + cool down

I remember several of the workout times not adding up.

Never read anything by this guy but I read this as:

10 mins @ 85-90
3 min rest @ 75-80

10 mins @ 85-90
3 min rest @ 75-80

10 mins @ 95-100
3 min rest @ 75-80

Total workout: 39 mins

Thanks both-- that's what I thought. I'll go by reading the directions, not the total times.

I remember the same. Lots of the total workout times don't add up

Yes, 10 minute intervals with three minute rests. The last rest isn't included, as it cool down. So the main set is 36, not 39 minutes. Warmup is 20:30, cool down is at least five, up to ten, so total time is at least 1:00:30' up to 1:04:30 if your cool down is strict.

Many of us do not enjoy the ‘pleasures’ of training on a stationery trainer. “Boring”, ”mind-numbing”, “a drag” are three phrases often associated with indoor trainers.
