Subject: RE: Jerry Seinfeld standup Originally posted by nolehypothesis My wife and I saw him 5 or 6 years ago. His stand up was great, but what I thought was really impressive was for an "encore" he just walks out on stage and says "What do you guys want to hear? What do you want to talk about?". So basically he came out with nothing planned. I remember thinking how gutsy that was. Some people wanted to hear some of his old bits. One was from way back and he pulls it off no problem. But a lot of people were just yelling random things or comments and he would immediately start working off of that. And some of his improvised stuff was just as funny as his set. It just proved he's not just good at stand up or comedy writing, but he's a legitimately funny guy He's got that at the end of "I'm telling you for the last time" as well. Someone yells out for him to do a "Hello, Newman." And he launches into the whole setup about the joke on the show, and why you can't just say "Hello, Newman" It was GREAT. Agreed. He is just an all-around funny guy! |
