R: 980.95 miles according to Garmin, but I ran a few times on a TR where I recorded 0 miles, so right around 1k for the year

It actually looks better to me than I felt it was for much of the year.   My goals are for more swimming and running in 2014 and probably settle with keeping the bike relatively flat (all from a volume perspective).  Maybe that'll change as spring and summer roll around, though.

My second son was born in July 2013, so my training took quite a hit. It's hard when I've been so tired. That's why I started lifting weights more than running/cycling, because it takes less energy from me.

Okay, I'll bite.

Swim 93.5 hrs, 254,350 yds.
Bike 310 hrs, 5379 miles.
Run 164.5 hrs 789 miles.

Totals include 3 IM races and 2 halfs. I'm not very fast, but I can be very persistent.

Ended up with a decent year despite taking off January to heal from surgery and July only swimming/biking no more than an hour at a time due to back pain. I was going to push for 4000 miles on the bike but realized that knee pain that was starting to flare up was a silly price to pay.Swim: 94h 22m - 302782.22 MBike: 235h 25m - 3767.3 MiRun: 157h 49m 52s - 816.06 MiStrength: 11h 55m Equestrian: 59h 00m Yoga: 15h 00m

Since end of season in September I've pretty much just been running due to now shelved plans of an early marathon.

Swim is only slightly up and average speed about the same.
Bike almost doubled compared to 2012, average speed is up and average HR is down.
Run more than doubled compared to 2012, average speed is up and average HR is down.

It was an Ironman year.  Great year and made a lot of new great friends!  That said I don't know where all of you get the time to train that you have!  My wife would kill me and I would probably lose my job if I put in some of the hours I see on here.  Did take pretty much all of October off from a lot of stuff to recoup/recover.  Awesome job everyone!

Swim:  89h 18m 18s - 331424 Yd

Bike:  170h 23m 10s - 3073 Mi

Run:  147h 23m 12s - 1134.55 Mi

Wish I had more time!

Largest year of volume for me and it felt good. I tapered off triathlon training after my HIM in October to work on strength training but looking forward to huge training numbers this year as I train for my first IM.

Where did my 2012 totals go? I wanted to see if I did better in 2013 or not.

Edit: Never mind, they were still there, just had to go to training reports instead of the basic log page.

Sooo,
Swam 49,700yds
Biked 778 miles
Ran 625 miles

That's 23,000 more yards of swimming, 5 miles fewer cycling (but I bike commute many days now, so add 213 to that total), and 148 miles further running.

My goal for 2014 is to go further than last year, lol.

A little late to the party, but I thought I'd share my totals anyways. Huge milestone for me getting to 600h.

Total: 612:52h
Road biking: 122:36h (3404km)
Running: 102:33h (1317km)
Swimming: 82:46h (321km)
Indoor cycling (mostyl spin classes): 167:39h
Strenght training (mostly core workouts): 65:20h
Cross country skiing: 41:05h (395km)
Mountainbiking 10:46h (183km)
+some random stuff.

Can't really get around the amount of time I've spent in spin classes. Had a goal to improve my biking, and I'm kinda happy with how it worked out

Nice work everyone Good luck with your training 2014!

Most of you work a lot harder than I do.

Swim: 133,056 yards
Bike: 1002 miles
Run: 274 miles

I am a beginner. I learned to swim freestyle in May and bought my first road bike in June. I was close to last in my first triathlon in June with very little training, and worked my way up to the middle of the pack by September. So BOP to MOP (in a sprint tri) on about half this training.

I swim a bunch because that has been my focus. I like it and I want to get better at it.
