I think your watts are way closer to what they should be than your friend's. I have a B16 as well (twins!) but I was only able to get 2 outdoor rides in when I got my PM. Here is my initial FTP test link: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/405045051

For me average power during the test was 261watts and I got 22.2 mph. I am pretty sure I was going into a slight wind that way since I didn't want to do the test with a tail wind. Either way, 144 watts being 20 mph seems way way low. I'm ~165 and there's no way 144 watts would get me 20 mph. My 30 minute cooldown was at 200watts (in same link) and I averaged 18 mph but a lot (60%?) of it was going into the wind.

A little longer ride to test. Ride done mostly out of aero in cycling bib and jersey. Weight at start 230 lbs. Tires are Conti Grand Prix with 115-120psi. Bottle on downtube and one repair kit in bottle behind seat in an xlab 2 cage rear carrier. Felt B16 bike.

The reason I'm even asking is a friend has Garmin Vector pedals and rides a Shiv. He weighs a little less (roughly 210) and did a 40 mile ride at 20mph on the same roads at 144 watt avg. So I'm assuming one of us is wrong?

If you did that ride out of aero, it looks very normal. If you did it in aero, I suspect there is a problem
The part where you go straight south and back north seem fine.
It almost seems like the wind was blowing West to East.

Wind plays a huge role. Your test was in a headwind and seems in a slight downhill. But the wind made the downhill appear as hard as an uphill.
Look like the wind was blowing mostly West to East

You can turn 0 overaging off.

How do I know if my cleats need to be adjusted? And how do you know in which direction to adjust them? I have been having medial knee pain and edema but my LBS says the cleat placement is fine.

I have pedals with the cage and when I ride 2+ hours my legs feel much more tired then if I took out my husband's bike with clipless pedals. Do clipless pedals truly make the difference?

I'm going to let you in on how to get faster by doing nothing. Well, not exactly nothing, but you won't have to raise your heart rate, put out 300 watts, or really even break a sweat.

I quickly browsed an article in Men's Health that talked about doing a triathlon, and how it wasn't really that hard. With a "tsk!" I quickly turned the page while thinking, "Yeah, right!"

I started riding this spring with the Carnac shoes on Look pedals (with plenty of float). About five minutes into a ride I get sharp pain on the outer edge of my feet, just behind the pedal.
