Stupid question time:

Is transition what I'd expect from other tris, or does WTC do things differently as far as bags and such?

Also, we've got a room at the Ramada on Broad St. on the run course.  Suggestions on getting to Transition Sunday morning?

We are staying at the Ramada as well. It's a short walk to the shuttle. I usually take my bag in the morning, set up transition and then take my bag back to the hotel. You can leave your bag in transition just like any other race, I find it best to leave as little as possible. Besides, the hotel that we are staying at is close to the swim start, so I just ride the shuttle back and drop it off there.

Sounds like a plan.  I was worried about leaving my pump.  I've heard they can grow legs at times.

I've done nothing but prep for this race all year, and now that it's the week of it's the last think on my mind... not sure if that's bad or good...

I'll pack up tomorrow after work and prep my bike too and drive down to Augusta on Saturday at some point.  I don't even know how long it takes for me to get there. or where i'm going.

oh well.

the mojo will come to you once you get to the race. Always does for me.

Bad News / Good news for me today

my flight was canceled this morning bad news. But since I have free time today I was cleaning out the garage I found a piece of my bike that fell off while packing it. Missing that piece would have ended my race.

Sorry about the cancelled flight. I'm not sure how long O'Hare and Midway were out of commission, but it was enough to cause chaos around the country. I work in the Atlanta airport and we were busy because of the delayed flights into Chicago. Heading to Augusta in the morning. Good luck on your flight.

That was a great way to waste a Sunday!

First 70.3 for me.  5:31:23.  Couldn't be happier with my result.  Just wish I didn't get hung up in the river grass at the start.  Or headbutt that kayak.  Or have to pee at the first bike aid station.

It was the morning of Ironman Newfoundland 70.3, I felt queasy. I didn't want to eat or drink anything. I had a full blown case of the pre-race HEEBEE GEEBEES.
