Comments:

mile 85 stomach started and never let up, could not hold much down and was feeling really sick
What would you do differently?:

Same fuel as always but added some HEED for it was in bigger bottles and although I knew it was weak, I think it on top of fuel caused stomach issues. ONLY water with the Hydra C5
Transition 2

Comments:

took my time and was trying to let stomach come around never happened
Run
  • 5h 45m 55s
  • 26.2 miles

Comments:

This is where things got REAL BAD !! within the first mile stomach was already coming up and did for entire run. forced to walk but still tried to run not making it far. Tried everything to fix but when it came back up it was making things tough. Then had too much in me and had to purge around mile 17, which left me felling much better and even ran a few miles but then soon bonked and was done. walked and called it a day
What would you do differently?:

This day NOTHING I could do was right started on bike and never fixed
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

Stomach / fuel

Event comments:

BIG fan of HITS races and will be back for another in Naples next year. They have gotten better from 2012 the first season first race in Naples. Bigger every year and more to the race, the crew is great. Just mad I am not gonna make Ocala with them this year. I recommend giving HITS a try and they have all distances over the weekend for racing

Although you can receive all of your vitamins and minerals through foods eaten in the diet, nutritional products used for training may not allow you to meet recommendations on a daily basis.

This Intermediate 20 week plan is a quick ramp up in overall volume, but with 20 weeks to train only, it is a gradual and safe approach because of the alternating weeks of the long run/bike.
