There are very few drills that I could recommend wholesale for everybody ... drills are tools that are used in specific ways to work on specific things in swimming, and then to be integrated into a resultant better stroke.

Without knowing what your actual swimming looks like, impossible to say.

However, you asked for links. Check out the info at http://www.swimsmooth.com -- really great stuff and divided into beginner/intermediate/advanced.

X2 on Yanti's more serious response.

Your video's actually not that far off ... conditions alone can make it feel like that even without all the people. I had my goggles, my watch AND MY TIMING CHIP STRAP ripped open (the goggles off) in my last IM swim! The watch twice! Timing chip strap was hanging on by a velcro millimeter and I had to float supine a moment to fix it back on.

But yeah. I'd probably work on stroke stuff first

P.S. Besides, it's a classic and needs to be resurrected from time to time.

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.

The one-arm drill. This drill will help you with body rotation, breathing, and pull. It also isolates one arm so you can really concentrate on what that arm is doing through the whole stroke cycle.

Good swimming is relaxed swimming. Relaxed swimming depends on practicing the best techniques and the best body position.
