The Original  7834      Raleigh/Durham |  Subject: Exactly 3 months until IM FL!Just realized that today is exactly 3 months from IM FL. Anyone getting nervous yet? I'm ready to start adding the miles and start building. I'm starting to think about some race details now- what I'm going to wear, should I change or not, what I'll need in my special needs and transition bags, etc. It's becoming more real every week! |

It seems like not so long ago when I was at a coffee shop with free wireless Internet so I could register on Active.com the day after the 2005 IMFL. Time flies when you're training.... Hard to believe that it is finally getting here, although I still feel I have a long way to go too. But trust in my coach is what I have and I have no doubts that she will have me ready. I am glad I got the sickness behind me last weekend, hopefully that will be the last of any sickness between now and then. Now is definitely crunch time! The workouts are only going to get longer. Just hoping for a few less degrees on the temps while training. Hopefully we willhave a nice fall and good training weather. See you peeps in 3 months! |

Seriously though, I am training with a group doing Ironman Canada, so we have been riding and running long all summer. I can't wait. But once it's all over I'll probably wish I was still IM training. I feel like I'm in the best shape of my life and am so much more fit it's amazing! It seems like this has been a long road- but then again it seems so short. I think the "waiting" part is worse than the training! Can't wait to see everyone in 3 months!!! |
