Expert 1007 Missouri | Subject: Garmin upload issue Why do I keep getting this message (below)? I have Garmin Communicator Plugin 4.0.1.0 and have re-downloaded it 3 times this morning. I have also tried unplugging and re-plugging my Garmin in the USB port. I still can't upload my run. This isn't the first time this has happened but usually after re-downloading the program once it lets me upload. Today I'm not having any luck at all. I also have problems sometimes getting "stuck" in the middle of an upload. It will start, then get hung up and the only way I can fix it is to completely close my browser and start all over. I'm using a laptop with Windows 8 and internet explorer, trying to upload from a Garmin 305. Not sure if this is a "bug" or a problem with my computer (I'm not tech-savvy at all ) but any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Champion 13323 | Subject: RE: Garmin upload issue Can you try Chrome? It 'appears' to be a Garmin issue. There are some reports of the plugin not working with Windows 8 (not sure what you are using). It does appear that there may be a newer version available: http://software.garmin.com/ Let me know. |

Champion 13323 | Subject: RE: Garmin upload issue Brian, Make sure you have the latest Communicator plug-in at: http://software.garmin.com/ If still no go, since there are reported issues (not just BT) of this with Windows 8 and Firefox, try Chrome (though you will have to download communicator for chrome at the above link. Let me know how it goes. |

Master 1696 Surprise, Arizona | Subject: RE: Garmin upload issue Ron - Chrome is working fine. Something about the combination of Win 8.1 and Firefox is not recognizing the plugin. Good to know it is a widespread issue and not localized to BT. Hopefully, Garmin and Firefox will figure it out soon. Thanks! |
