Woo hoo... The freshness of it all. Pays to get up early, or at least be here by default.

Remember you only get a half hour for lunch and two 15 min breaks. However, meetings can take much much longer.

Sorry for those getting the bad weather.  I am sooooo sick of below zero temperatures when I go to work and come home from work.  But today is supposed to be a 40 degree swing in temps.  Usually means a snow storm is headed our way.

Has anyone seen Delta's totally 80's safety video that is floating around the net today? It's kind of funny, but I loved ALF as a kid, so anything with him makes me laugh now!

Anyone in Atlanta?
Good Morning America called it "Armageddon-like" there. Hundreds of vehicles and big-rigs abandoned on the highways, food shortages, etc. Not sure how much of that is media hype or isolated incidents.

i made the mistake of reading "snowedoutatlanta" on facebook this morning.  very nervewracking stuff.  it is NOT isolated incidents.  many schools had to keep their kids overnight, people sleeping on the floor of hotel lobbies, national guard deployed to help.  my (sorority) little sister parked her car after not moving for 4 hours and WALKED 7 miles home.  in the snow.  in heeled boots.  got home at 3AM.

definitely NOT media hype.

My mother lives near Atlanta and they have inches of snow over ice and there is no such think as trucks with blades for the snow.  The grocery stores were without Bread, Milk and junk food days before it hit.  She said it is really funny to see what they run out of first.  Just because you are snowed in, doesn't mean that you will never see your precious donuts again or cupcakes.  Plenty of meats and vegetable left and available, but milk, bread and junk foods were gone.

When we got dumped with back-to-back snow storms about  a year ago, that made me giggle too. Everyone was freaking out about the grocery stores running out of stuff. I went in and got everything I wanted except onions and bananas (for some reason bananas go first around here). I stocked up on chicken, fish, bell peppers, zucchini, spinach, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, avocados  sweet potatoes, tomatoes, berries, nuts, beans and rice - had a ton of meal options that were super healthy. But yeah bread and cereal were running pretty low.
