Nicely done! I think I might need to fire up MFP again too.

Gonna try again! January was a write-off with ibs issues and february isn't starting out much better (i hate being a woman sometimes!) but i hope to drop down from 173.6 to 171.something. Again conservative but just want to see some difference. Main changes this month will be: eat cleaner more often. When i ate clean i did fine but too many treat days imho.Am upping my bike mileage alwo as doing a 47 mile sportive in june so hopefully that will help! Btw anybody else struggle with ibs issues?

Goal: 155 lbs

Feb goal: 185 lbs
1/29/14: 191.4 lbs
2/5/14: 193.3 lbs
Wrong direction! Allowed a cheat or two to turn into four days of mindless eating. Back on track tomorrow.

Other Feb goals: Track WW pts, start 1/2 marathon run plan

Not going to whoop and holler, because I have been here before. In fact, a few times. Trying very hard to stay consistent with my meals. This weekend GF is coming and I fall pray to eating poorly. Not her fault, but I just like to eat when she is around. We have a plan for this weekend and she is on board. So hoping to stick with it and eat well. I changed gyms last month, and now I run to the gym. It is making a large impact, I feel. Also the new gym is closer and I am enjoying getting there more often.

First week is going ok, Looking forward to next week's weigh in.

Now that's what I'm talking about. That seems like a lot for one week but I have been doing extremely well the past week. Logging everything on MFP. I think one of my biggest hurdles is cutting down on the alcohol consumption. It's not just the alcohol but the food that would go along with it. If I want to get rid of these last 15lbs It's gotta go. Just need to decide where my priorities are.

I have decided to try and not to have a drink until my birthday (March 1st) which also happens to be the day of a 5 mile beer run. After that, nothing until after my first marathon (May 18th). We will see how it goes.

There are some new faces here. Is anyone else on MFP? Could always use more friends my name is jhall260 on there. Feel free to add me and let's shed these pounds together!

Also cutting out the fizzy drinks - I don't think I can cut them out 100% but going to limit them. I love my diet soda - but it's just no good for you either. This will be a challenge.

I just really, really want to get down to that <175 for the Marathon.

That's Awesome! I like your goals! keep em up. Also your posts of your workouts on MFP encourage me to get out there and keep going, so Thanks.

Starting to head in the right direction again. Running again although slowly and low volume, trying to get the heal feeling better, but feel good to get out and run again! Enjoyed a run in the snowstorm yesterday!

It looks like everyone is doing good, let's keep up the good work.

Goal for February 232, running again so hopefully the pounds will start to fall off again.

That's what I like about having a bunch of friends on MFP - it really makes it so much more rewarding. The first time I tried it I flew solo. I had great success the second time, and now this is my third time. It started off a bit rocky but I'm going strong.

Just had to come on and share some good news i'm down to 170.6 - yay! I've been really making an effort with my ibs tablets and things seem to have paid off. I've had nearly a week of feeling poorly and not being able to eat much (annoying) but i'm loving the differrence on the scale Just need to stick to sensible eating once i get better Good luck to other team skinny-ers!

Good job!! But sorry to hear about the sickness, no fun.

I forgot to get on the scale in my rush to get to swimming this morning, but pretty sure this weekend was not so good on the eating. Mom is visiting and that has meant a food tour of the city. Probably not so good on the weight... We'll see on Wednesday.

Oh, and we had this amazing mac and cheese together yesterday, first large dairy portion I've had this year. Which affirmed my suspicion I have some level of diary intolerance. But I loooove cheese... luckily I love feeling better more.

Hey everyone! I'm back after a looooooong absence. I know its the middle of the month but I really need to support of the BT clan. I've gained about 30 lbs since I was here last. Dr said I need to lose 25 by my next appointment in May or else. I've started running again and a little strength training and will add swimming later. Current weight is 230. Goal for the month 225.

Should have been down from 183 to 181. Bummer, but I know it's partly due to some very bad eating this last weekend after I got some difficult news on Friday. I started my training program Monday though, and my eating has been great. Temptation seems to have disappeared, and I think the mental "switch" has flipped and my determination is back! Also, with the increase in training over the past 3 days, I'm hoping that some of the weight is due to the inevitable muscle damage and repair.

Looking forward to plowing forward with my new-found determination and weighing in next week!

I need to do a better job on weekends.  I was down a pound more by last Friday, then my wife showed up with several boxes of girl scout cookies.  Damn those girl scouts!

1/28: 180 lbs. (starting)

2/5: 178 lbs.

2/12: 177 lbs.

2/28: goal 173 lbs.

3/15: goal 170 lbs.

After that big loss that week and a bad weekend for nutrition I am thrilled to have maintained. Back to eating well.
I've been doing great with no alcohol, normally I would have had a few drinks with the overeating I did this weekend. Didn't have a single one probably saved me 1,000 calories at least!

Been doing pretty good on the fizzy drinks too. I have not bought any to bring home or from the vending machine at work. I did have one when I went to Cousins for lunch one day and at a fish fry I went to Friday.

Ok, so second week in a row with a loss. I had a good weekend, and did pretty well with nutrition even with GF coming down for the weekend. We ate out twice both both times, ate well and kept the calorie count pretty low. MY PF has been acting up pretty badly after the long run on Sunday, so have not been too active this week. I am really enjoying my smoothies in the morning and I think I have it pretty dialed in. Going to Sam's this weekend to restock frozen veggies. Otherwise, the other meals are portion control portion control portion control. I can have mac and cheese just not the whole pan of mac and cheese. LOL

Have great Valentines.

John

I keep hissing and giving really dirty looks to the Girl Scouts outside my grocery stores. Poor girls. One of the Mom's is a old friend of mine, and she warns the Girls when I am coming in. We have a pretty good laugh. Now the they see me coming out and try to sneak boxes into my cart and follow me to my car chanting "you know you want thin mints" or the the chocolate Peanut butter ones. They are EVIL.
