Dr said I need to lose 25 by my next appointment in May or else. I've started running again and a little strength training and will add swimming later. Current weight is 230. Goal for the month 225.

Welcome back! Never to late to rejoin the party.

Ok, so second week in a row with a loss. I had a good weekend, and did pretty well with nutrition even with GF coming down for the weekend. We ate out twice both both times, ate well and kept the calorie count pretty low. MY PF has been acting up pretty badly after the long run on Sunday, so have not been too active this week. I am really enjoying my smoothies in the morning and I think I have it pretty dialed in. Going to Sam's this weekend to restock frozen veggies. Otherwise, the other meals are portion control portion control portion control. I can have mac and cheese just not the whole pan of mac and cheese. LOL

Have great Valentines.

John

Huzzah! Now that's what I'm talking about. I think I am finally on track after a year at the same weight (crosses fingers). All it took was being pretty vigilant with MFP and cutting out the alcohol, so far completely. I'm surprised I don't miss it yet. I have also ramped up my running, back to doing the running every day challenge, day #7 today =). Hit 40 miles this past week.

I am considering registering for my first ultra marathon this summer. I think I need a break from the tri's. I really, really want to focus on my running.

A pound is a pound, ran 22 miles Sunday for marathon training. I am ready. Honestly I am ready for a break. I have swam two days in the past four. It felt so good to swim. I have been so focused on running, my bike has dust on it, and my swim suit almost doesn't fit any more. (Just kidding). I have 17 days till LA marathon. I really want my weight to get below 215, I want my PF to get under control.(It really did not flare up till mile 16 or 17. I was making really good time till then. But I have to say it lift my spirits getting through the 22 miles. I was not fast, but I did it. I am going for completion on this marathon not speed. If I survive I will cheer so loudly, cry so freely, and praise God with all my heart.

Great job on the run, I know how tough it is to push through the PF issues, but I have a feeling you will make it through your marathon!

Well, despite some very solid effort this past week, my weight has gone up. I had a day when I just broke even on the calorie count, but that shouldn't have made me gain for the whole week. My only thought is that, because I just severely ramped up my training from low maintenance (Maybe 3-4 hours per week) to heavy training (11 hours last week), my body is adjusting and will take a few weeks to show progress on the scale. It's also too soon to really tell if clothes are fitting well, since I just got my head back in the game last week.

Does anyone else (women, in particular) find that there is lag time between starting heavy training and seeing results on the scale? I'm really frustrated but determined to stick with it and I should eventually start seeing results in the numbers. I doubt I'll make my Feb goal, but maybe I can hold out for good results through March.

I want to join in on this! I'm probably too late to lose any weight for February, but I will definitely be on the March thread.

Starting weight: 110 lbs
End of March goal: 107 lbs
End of April goal: 104 lbs (ultimate goal weight)

My weight plateaued at 110 four months ago, so I need to get moving and eating more nutritionally! (For the record, I'm 5'2" and I have a small frame.)

It's too late for me to edit my last post, so I want to make some corrections:

Current weight: 108 lbs
End of March goal: 106 lbs
End of April goal: 104 lbs (ultimate goal)

Two pounds a month is doable! I want to get rid of body fat and gain muscle, so my body composition should be changing a lot more than what you'd expect in terms of four measly pounds. I currently do not have much muscle on me (which I hope will change with the tri training)!

2/5/14: 193.3 lbs
2/12/14: 191.1 lbs
2/19/14: 191.3 lbs

Didn't check in here last week. I'd say I forgot, but really I was ashamed and frustrated at eating junk for two weeks. I'm back on track now, and feeling better about what I'm eating and much better in my workouts, too. I didn't make my Feb goal, but I've lost 5% of my body weight since the new year, and while my runs are still very slow, it feels good to be running regularly again.

2/26/14: 189.8
This week: -1.5 lbs

Dang It Dang It Dang It Had a good weekend with GF, ate pretty well but then came down with head cold. I eat when I am sick. I cant seem to update my weight on MFP, nothing is wrong with MFP, but I was really liking my weight at 217. Was on a downward trend and was excited I may hit 215 before March 9th. With all of the drugs in my system, and the issues that they cause to my well system, I will hope for getting well, and then a big loss in one day.

Anyhow, I read this article this morning and thought I would share.
http://www.runnersworld.com/fun/sorry-not-sorry?cm_mmc=Facebook-_-R...

I would have to say sorry to;
The car who decided to wait for me to cross on mile 11 of 12 Saturday. I was slow.
To my dogs, bc my long runs are just too long for them. Shorter runs are coming back soon,
To everyone at the office who knows when the next race is bc I have told you 90 times.
To my running group,I got out front of everyone then experience a case of running farts. It was me not the dog who we past I blamed it on.

This is a day of being able to say sorry for those who will never read this. HAVE A GREAT DAY, and Smile.

A bike is NOT a piece of metal with a couple of wheels at either end and a steering thing to stop you running over old ladies. No! ... a bike is a space-age “weapon of mass confusion.”
