So we made it through January peeps, looks like we had a lot of good momentum built and now is the time to keep it rollin. If January didn't go as planned well it is "line in the sand day" and time to turn the ship around and get back on track.

And if we have anyone new who wants to jump on, the more the merrier!

So post your starting weight, your end of February goal weight and let's get this rolling, inspiring each other along the way.

So who's in?

I'm back for another month.

Feb 1 weight: 198.4 lbs

Feb 28 goal: 189.0 lbs

Race season is starting really soon.  I have a half marathon in 2 weeks (Vancouver First Half). My first Tri of the year is March 9th at UBC.

My weightloss motivation is high right now.  Nothing motivates me more than the idea of getting faster!

Any who offical starting weight for February is .........

234.8 lbs
Goal is 226 lbs

Going to be tough, going to a remote work camp on Monday morning, no gym and little control on my food for about 10 days. So we will see what happens will stick to tracking my nutrition as much as possible.

2/1 224

Goal: 212

Every week I had "that" day or two. It's like put a carrot in from of me and I made it into carrot cake and ate it all.

February is going to be better. February is going to be better. February is going to be better. February is going to be better. February is going to be better.

I have LA marathon in March, I need to lose a few pounds for it. Otherwise, it is a 5k here and training runs till March 9th.

Have a great Week.

Feb 1: 183 lbs
Feb end goal: 177 lbs
Long-term goal: 155

I'm ramping up my training for a HIM and IM (Vineman) this year. I figure I'll get more speed out of losing weight than just training to be fast. If I can lose 25-30 pounds by Vineman, I should be faster based purely on carrying less around.

My main focus is to stop binging at night for no reason other than boredom. Hopefully having a group to report to will keep me motivated.

1/16 - 191.0
1/22 - 189.0

2/5 - 187.6

Now that's what I'm talking about. That seems like a lot for one week but I have been doing extremely well the past week. Logging everything on MFP. I think one of my biggest hurdles is cutting down on the alcohol consumption. It's not just the alcohol but the food that would go along with it. If I want to get rid of these last 15lbs It's gotta go. Just need to decide where my priorities are.

I have decided to try and not to have a drink until my birthday (March 1st) which also happens to be the day of a 5 mile beer run. After that, nothing until after my first marathon (May 18th). We will see how it goes.

There are some new faces here. Is anyone else on MFP? Could always use more friends my name is jhall260 on there. Feel free to add me and let's shed these pounds together!

Also cutting out the fizzy drinks - I don't think I can cut them out 100% but going to limit them. I love my diet soda - but it's just no good for you either. This will be a challenge.

I just really, really want to get down to that <175 for the Marathon.

Feb 5 weigh in: 183

Hoping for 181 next week! Last night was the first night in a while that I didn't have to fight with myself to not snack after dinner. It was thinking about this group and our mutual goals that kept me from slipping. It's nice to have other people with common goals!

Got up this morning and lifted weights. Trainer ride this afternoon.
Looking forward to next week!

Still need to work on self control with the sweets. Eating a pint of coconut milk ice cream in one setting is bad for you?

Last month I was full vegan, with 3 exceptions of fish and one time with chicken while eating out. My goal was to not be "that vegan." I don't remember a time I have had so much energy (definitely was super tired all the time the last time I started IM training) and my digestive system has felt so good. This month I'll continue with the no dairy/eggs because I think that is key for me... I think I am a bit lactose intolerant. I think I'll eat fish again when out and about, but still continue no meat at home.

Let's go February!

I gave up sodas 6 years ago for lent, and kept going. Now I can't drink them because they are too sweet, you'd be surprised how giving it up changes your tastes!

Friending you on MFP, perhaps that'll make me track again!

Saw your request on MFP - It really is awesome if you use it.

I've tried giving up sodas before, I can do it for a few days but never can cut them out completely. Not only a health benefit but I probably spend $50 bucks a month on soda (those vending machines are costly!). Think of all the workout clothes I could buy with that money in a year.
