Subject: Heart rate monitor chest strap problem Hello everyone,
I bought last year a Timex Global Trainer GPS watch as I wanted to train for a triathlon. I will get to finish one this summer! The watch is working fine, but I am having issues with the heart rate monitor. I am using the Timex Heart Rate monitor that came with the watch. However, I have a condition called Pectus excavatum, basically I have a hole in the chest where the chest strap sensor goes. If I try to move the sensor around, I get false reading (like 70bpm when it's actually around 140 ).
So I wanted to know:
1 ) Is there a way to make the sensor work properly?
2 ) If not, are there chest strap with sensors that does not need to be placed in the middle of the chest? And compatible with Timex Global Trainer?
Thank you for your help! |
