It sounds like a whole combination of things 1) your body needs "healthy" oils (olive, safflower, sunflower etc) to keep things moving AND to help digest and break down what you eat 2) going paleo sounds like it help with arthritis pain - great - but you still need fiber - why not try more of a gluten free than paleo? 3) we need to EAT food (not saying your not) just saying that by juicing/blending etc veggies takes the "work" away from your body. Your not working the fiber 4) we need to know your success |

I stopped the laxatives and therefore stopped even the teeny amount of poo I had managed to get out toward the end of last week. By Sunday, I was in tears. I spoke to a few people, consulted the almighty Internet and went to a natural grocer and ended up with this decision: I am going to introduce a bit of whole grain back into my diet (packet of plain oatmeal, slice of flourless Ezekiel bread, for instance). I also started on a raw probiotic for women and chugged a bottle of kombucha. And I POOPED THIS MORNING! Almost normally! There were little droplets of an oily substance on the surface of the water - anyone know what that's about? So the plan is little bit more grain, keep up on the kombucha and probiotics. I had some dairy over the weekend and I believe it was the cause of my ankles hurting more and my stomach worsening, so dairy is OUT! I will update if there is more ... "progress" |

"progress" It's pretty normal for the paleo diet......the cavemen collected the oil and used it to help the first wheel roll. |

Your not working the fiber 4) we need to know your success a paleo diet should have lots of fiber - tons and tons of leafy greans, avocados, fruit is allowed, almonds, pumpkin/squash - many fibrous things. it is not just meat! i eat more veggies than many vegetarians i know!
