The good news is I'm feeling much better.
The doc said it was just a nasty virus and she's seen a lot of it this season.

I was only out of it for about a week.
I lost a few pounds and couldn't exercise at all.

I plan on trying a light trainer ride tonight or Saturday or maybe just some very easy stretching.
Plan on jumping back into a regular schedule again sometime next week if I feel ready.

I was training for a bike/ski event in late March.

So did I do any damage to myself by being sick, sleeping little, and consuming very little food?

For a week? No, you didn't do any "damage" ---- for a lot of people, that kind of down time ends up being beneficial.

Take it easy over the next few workouts !

I couldn't believe that my splits kept getting lower! I started to run harder after I passed the "5 km" sign and picked a few people that I wanted to pass.
