I'm coaching this tall girl who never wanted to play hoops and she finally decided at 13 years old that she would play. Problem is, she's almost 6 foot tall, and I never thought of this before, but it's a lot harder to teach a taller person from scratch than it is to teach a 6 year old whose hands are much closer to the ground.

Any drills? I have her kneeling down and dribbling and that helps. But when she stands up she reverts back to slapping/smacking the mall. Any fun dribbling drill ideas would be appreciated...She's actually very athletic and never developed the bad habit of bringing the ball down before she shoots, so she's pretty good under the basket considering her experience.
Thanks

When I was a hack bb player in hs, one of my team mates got me into a little game that really helped. Two or three players, each with a ball and dribbling, while also trying to knock the other players ball away. Simple and deceptively instructive.

I had the same problem. My game was good all around except for dribbling. I even didn't make the team due to dribbling problems. I watched some free dribbling videos that helped me a lot and I made the team. Here's the link. http://127b98ko4dnvcs95-36gfg-f3q.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=123BB
Good luck

The one-arm drill. This drill will help you with body rotation, breathing, and pull. It also isolates one arm so you can really concentrate on what that arm is doing through the whole stroke cycle.
