Didn't have access to a scale yesterday, but weighed in this morning at...136. *Sigh* I just seem to be bouncing around the same range. Then again, that was really only after three days of eating relatively healthy, so I can't expect to see much yet. Good work, everyone!

I guess I should keep a running tally here:

March 1: 149
March 3: 147
March 6: 146

Goal is 144 by the end of the month. But I might be able to go lower, since my starting weight was maybe a bit water-logged high.

And the roller coaster continues.

I'm in. March 1 starting weight: 148.0. Missed the Wednesday weigh in because I was travelling, but this morning was 147.4 - so I guess I managed to stay on track while on the road.

End of March goal: 145.0

Goal weight for IMMT (August 17): 135.0

Trying to limit my sugar, and focus more on lean protein, whole grains and healthy fats. Some days are better than others!

Just wanted to say I'm glad to be a part of this with everybody. It really helps my motivation to know others are out there with similar motives!

Happy Friday and a good weekend to all!

Much as I don't want to play, the first two entries are indicative not of weight gain necessarily, but how I've been bouncing around between 190 and 195 for weeks upon weeks.  I am down a bit today, but still over 3/1...   I've been doing the same things that got me down to 185 for racing last season, counting MFP calories, coming in at a healthy deficit most days, but not gaining any traction ths year, and can't seem to get ino the 180s.....

3/1 - 190.8

3/5 - 192.6....

to be continued.....

I feel your pain.  I have seem to have been stuck at 185-190 for a year now.  I know I have more to weight to drop, it just doesn't seem to want to go away.  Now that my birthday and another occasion has passed I am trying something new, no alcohol, not even my wonderful beer.  I know some people can have it and do fine - I just cant.  I only had a drink or two during the whole of last month and I never felt better.  I am hoping to pretty much have zero alcohol until after my ultramarathon in September.  Let's hope that works!

Wait, what?? No beer?
I have the same problem, been stuck around 235 and I know it's because my daughters left for college and now I don't worry about having a beer or 2 after work, but I have been cutting back and trying to get down to the range I want, now I only have a beer or 2 once or twice a month, lets hope that does the trick?

Hi. I've been lurking a while and really empathize with most of your struggles. I have been logging here and mfp since Jan. 1st. The training has been going so well but the weight loss is non existent. My friends that started with me have flaked out and I really just need 1 or 2 folks to struggle with me. I thought about posting to mfp to get a new friend but I'd much rather 1 of you! Same name over there as here, sillygal00.
1-7 164.5
2-3 162.5
3-1 160.5

I like to log on and encourage others and with so little activity from friends I haven't been wanting to log on. Anyone willing to add me?
I am currently training for my first tri in September and my first dual (the swim run thing) in July.
I'll check back on Wednesday with my weight. Happy about that because Wednesdays are usually my lightest days!

Back on the wagon again....

Had a little procedure done in mid February to shut down the baby making factory and what I didn't want to happen, happened. I took the recommended 1 week off which turned into 2 weeks and garbage eating. Not happy with the steps back that I took. So here we go again.

3-7 224.2

Goal for end of month 215

I know its terrible.  But I think its what I really need.  I've been stuck at this weight forever.  While I used to weight 260lbs and am at a pretty healthy weight for my frame.  I know I can get down to 165/170.  That will be my weight when I was a Freshman in High School.

I love beer and I drink to much of it.  For me it's an all or nothing thing.  So I have to decide what I want to do, and I want to cross that finish line of that Ultra I signed up for at my lowest weight in a long, long time.

It will be difficult though, and I'm sure I will have a few slips along the way but that's fine.  As long as I do it most of the time I hope its successful

After a week of going in the right direction, I seem to have ballooned back up again. I know a lot of it is water fluctuation, but I am just having a lot of trouble getting my weight down again. I think I need to start seriously tracking calories again.

Hey Jen,

I find its best to track my weight at the same day and same time once a week.  I usually weigh at least 3-4 pounds more on Monday mornings than I do on Wednesday mornings.   I was 193.4 last Wednesday and 197.0 this morning.

I weighed 154.7 at the end of a long ride yesterday.  I'm afraid to check the scale again, so I'm waiting until Wednesday.  I'm pretty sure a lot of that was water weight loss.

OK, thanks- once/week it is. I see a similar post-weekend trend that you do.

So do I start on the low day or the high day?

I've chosen to do my weigh-ins on Mondays because that's what works best for my schedule.

March 3- 108 lbs
March 10- 106.7 lbs

I'm really surprised I'm actually seeing a lower weight because I started weight training last week. My expectation is for this # to fluctuate higher, but we'll see. Ultimately, I'd like to lose ~2 more pounds, then only gain muscle and lose fat with no change in my weight. I'm between pants sizes currently (sometimes a 0, sometimes a 2) and I'd really like to be able to fit comfortably and consistently into size 0. It's really annoying to have kind of uncomfortable size 0 pants and kind of too loose size 2 pants. I don't know of any of you have experienced the annoyance that is being between sizes, but it bugs me/makes me hate shopping for clothes.

It looks like all of you are doing quite well! I'm impressed with the losses you guys have so far, especially from last month.

I am the definition of a "smedium".  It makes ordering shirts online impossible.  It varies from brand to brand, and usually I have to chose between slightly tight fitting or slightly long sleeves.  Jeans are interesting to shop for as well, but I've round that Old Navy's regular cut fits me best.

Well I think I need back in here. I started out on Team Skinny years ago at 270lbs.

Managed to get down to 190lbs.

Last year I saw knee surgery, Now a 5 month old baby

And this morning I saw a scale that said 227/228 lbs fluxing between them. I would like to think the thing was lying.

But I have been shoving food in my mouth that isn't good for me, months on end. GF and I gave up eating out of any sort for lent. And I just bought a new bike. I also had another surgery a few days ago and I am not allowed to work out for another week here.

My goal for this month is 224 lbs. I don't want to be aggressive without being able to work out. But I need something.

So I hope you will welcome me back. It is time to get back on track.

Well, a little progress so I'm happy.

March 1: 148.0
March 7: 147.4
March 12: 146.7

Since my goal is 145 by March 31, I'm on the right track. Doing OK avoiding sugars, although I'm eating more bread/grains than usual, it doesn't seem to be affecting my weight loss.

3/5/2014: 217
3/12/14 - 225

OK, bad bad week, but I always see a pretty big jump after a big race. Not sure if it is from eating a huge amount of carbs the week before or the celebration for three days after, or both. (I am saying the celebration after). But I ran my first marathon. Was slow. It was extremely hot. I was doing great ahead of my pace by 3 to 4 minutes at miles splits till about mile 14, then I fell apart. Lost my pace group. Got super hungry. And I never really recovered. Legs were in a state of pain from mile 16 on. BUT I FINISHED. I have the medal to prove it and I will race again. In full recovery mode still. Legs are tight but much better.

So onward and upward (or downward). Back on track, and tracking on MFP.

Happy to see other progress, Keep it up.

Weighed in this morning at 135.5. It was a bit disappointing since I was 133 on Saturday morning, but I know I fluctuate day to day. At least my new fluctuation range seems to be 133-136 instead of 134-137, so perhaps I've legitimately lost at least one pound!

I also did not eat well last night. Usually, this just makes me feel as though I've fallen off the wagon and why bother, but I'm going to do my best to hop right back on. Went on a great run this morning to try to minimize the damage and focus on seeing some more progress before the month is done.

Congrats on finishing your first marathon, J, that's awesome!

2/28:  193.8
3/05: 193.4
3/12: 190.8

That's 70 pounds lost since January 2013.  And I even won my age group at my duathlon on Sunday.

Only 3.5 months to go until IM Coeur d'Alene.  I just keep telling myself "1 minute off your marathon time for every pound"
