I had knee surgery in December followed by 8 weeks non weight bearing and another 2+ weeks transitioning to full weight bearing. I have had some problems with swelling. Dr. drained 35cc off of it last week. Looking for a knee compression sleeve that I can comfortably cycle in. Obviously one that won't rub or chaff. Anyone ride with one? If so let me know what brand etc. Thanks!

Did you go to PT? I bet your therapist can point you in the right direction.... the ones I have used are so rediculously bulky.... I can't imagine they would work well for cycling...

Thanks. Been in PT since week one and will be for some time to come. The ones they suggested and the ones I have will NOT work for long distance riding.

Two surgeries here, so I feel your pain. Mine were a good 15+ years ago at this point, but I remember this all too well. Knowing what I know now, and with the things we have available now, I'd be looking at a compression pant of some sort. I don't know your weather, but if you can stand it from a heat perspective, then some good full pants would probably work really well and prevent that swelling you get right above and below the knee as well. I'm not a dr, of course, so ask before you drop the big bucks on a good 2xu pair of pants!

Check out Tommie Copper knee sleeves...they're really thin.  Also, I used the basic drugstore Ace types, too.

Not exactly what you asked for but I have found the CW-X Stabilyx tights to provide very good knee support. I have worn them both cycling (over bike shorts in the cold) and running and in both cases they were very comfortable and supportive. Their website shows some women's tights in both full length and 3/4 (see link)

On the long bike rides of 80+ miles I get very strong pain in my toes. I slow down my pace and I might recover, but when I hit the next hill it is back. Could this be some kind of circulation issue?

Does compression clothing really work? Coach AJ was able to try out a line of compression wear by Skins during the 2008 Annual Hawaii Ironman Triathlon.
