Anyone signed up for this? This was my first ever triathlon in 2013. It was 2 hours 42 minutes of suffering. I hope to smash that time this year.

The pre-race vibe in 2013 was great and the course is just awesome. The lake is clean, the bike course is scenic with lots of hills and turns, and the run is mostly flat gravel trail through the woods. It's a great showcase of what the PNW has to offer.

oh, and the shirts in 2013 were amazing! It's not plastered with sponsor logos and I actually get compliments when I wear it :D

Same day as Five Mile Lake Tri - much closer to home and I am biased toward's BuDu (as they are my former employer :-D)

Have fun! It sounds fun and price looks reasonable.

I might do the race this year.  I've done it many times over the years and it is a great event.  This is the first year in the last three that is not on the same day as the Seatte Rock n Roll marathon which I have chose to do.

Hopefully we start get some warmer, sunnier days so the lake begins warming up.  It was pretty chilly last year early in the season.

I did this without a wetsuit in 2013. Fortunately I was such an inefficient swimmer that I generated lots of extra body heat with my thrashing about. :-)

This year I will wear the wetsuit.

Another nice feature of this race is the transition area is in a parking lot, so no grassy or sandy feet to deal with.

I can't be there this year, but I did it last year after having been away for several years. It's just a fun event. They keep things light and don't take themselves too seriously. I totally agree about the shirt! Not only does it look good, but it actually fits well.

My first triathlon was at age 56. At first I was just the cameraman at my daughter's first triathlon, then I am doing the races that she has done.

The triathlon made a lot of sense as I could fit the training around early mornings and other times that wouldn't eat too much into my family time. Things never go completely to plan do they?

I found a sprint, the Lake Las Vegas Triathlon, that was happening four months down the road and signed myself up; much to the surprise of friends and family.

Both the Lake Triathlon Shoe CX210TRI and the Lake Road Shoe CX225 offer distinct advantages. I tested both shoes and found them to be extremely comfortable, good looking and durable.

If you are calm while everyone around you is losing it, you probably don’t know what the hell is going on.
