Ok, I will bite.

I apologize for the blurry before photo, but as you can imagine I dont have a lot of before pictures. Before circa 2008, after 2013.

Well I dug up a dive photo where I'm maxing out the 7ft hose :-) and also one of when my wife and I were in Hawaii. I was about 335#'s on a 5' 9" frame. I'm down to 248 #'s with more to go. Together we've lost a combined 127 #'s over the past 18 months.

Mine may not be as impressive as my weight gain was pregnancy, but as a shout-out to all the moms who tri:

"Abs" on the way out the door to deliver #2 (65lbs heavier than I am right now). Yes, my daughter was sitting on my belly. I was even bigger with #3 (73lbs bigger than I am now), who will be 4 in July.

2013:

POST UP BTers!

Jealous! How do you gain 73 lbs with pregnancy and avoid stretch marks... you must have amazing skin and genetics ... great job!.

You all are very inspiring!!! I love this!

Counting calories

I went dwon from the first pic at 275 ish to about 240 just before starting tris, exercising and eating better.  Spent a couple years at 220-240 until I decided to get serious and honest about what went into my mouth.  Used my fitness pal and got down to 185 for IM Canada.  Went up to 200 briefly in the off season now back down to 190-ish.

I will eat any sweet you put in front of me (or try to hide from me...  or is in the house...)  so i really have to be vigilant and draw strict lines.

Before!

Sorry it's not super clear, but it's not always easy (or fun) to find the pictures where I am the biggest that I have been...

After!

(that's a little old and I think I've lost some since then but don't have many shirtless photos as I live in Seattle and we don't have a sun)

Ok I've been wondering this question for a while.....I'll dig up some of my pics but about 18 months a go I began my journey ad since I've lost 75 lbs. the question I have is does the extra skin eventually shrink back? Or have any of you found any tricks to to help tighten it?

You're beautiful in any case and congrats on all the persistence. Have fun on vacay and come back refreshed and ready to rock.

What kind of a tri top? Is that Betty Designs?

It's Daskin. And thanks for the compliment. Losing weight is hard work, and gaining some back gets discouraging. But I am going to choose to use it as motivation instead.

I have the same Danskin top--wear it all the time for running and for racing in Oregon when it's a wetsuit swim. Unfortunately I don't have the body the tri suit manufacturers envision (apparently either larger and curvy or smaller and totally flat-chested), so if I get a size big enough to get my chest into, the waist flaps around too much to wear it on a non-wetsuit swim. Tri might slim down the curvy a bit, but it doesn't seem to bulk up the scrawny.
