I am bumping this as I'm surprised nobody has posted a response.  Perhaps they have contacted you by PM?

I have never had a BT membership/plan, so I can't offer any advice.  I have seriously considered getting a gold though, and I might try that at some point in the future.  I think I would like the personalized aspect of that and the price is ridiculously good.

Perhaps if you posted a little bit about your experience, goals for the season and what you want you might get some helpful feedback :)

Just bronze for me. I use the planning and reporting features a lot, but I don't need the training plans that come with silver and gold. I'm self coached and I like to write my own plans.

I got the silver for two reasons. One was for the plans, I did not feel I needed the gold offerings and wanted a specific plan that was silver. The other was this site has given a lot to me. So I can give up a few trips to Starbucks a year to help support it.

It really depends upon what you want.

I wanted all the reports and the ability to import/export plans as I generally make my own training plan.  The bronze membership provides all of that.  Then I wanted some guidance making a full Iron plan so I stepped up to the gold level.  There is a page here that compares the different plans and the benefits/features of each.  At the end of the day, even the gold plan is less than one Starbucks Venti Frappaccino a week.

I make my own plans, but I like to look at different plans as a reference. I chose silver because it had a lot of plans that were relevant to the distances I do, at intermediate to advanced level. Simply haven't found one plan that really fits, probably because prior to coming to tri I had a very strong background in one sport (run), solid in another (swim) and zero on the bike! I used to write my plans myself on a Word document, but I really like the feature that lets you import plans (in my case parts of plans), and pick and choose certain weeks or only one or two sports to import. It also allows you to move the workouts around as needed to fit your available time for training.

I got the gold past couple of years. Have not regretted it. I like the customized level of plans. But it's up to the person to decide if they need that/want that or not. Good luck.

Now there's a language many people can understand, how many "BUX" does it take to be able to afford a BT plan

I have been a free member for a long time, made my own plan for my two HIM's. But I am doing my first IM this year so wanted a real plan. I went with Gold to get the customization feature. I wanted to be able to work my plan around my schedule and the other things I want to do. For instance I attend a coached swimming practice on Tues and Thurs so I wanted two of my swims on those days. Soon my riding group will start up Wed rides again so I can adjust my plan to put a medium bike on Wed.

Has worked pretty well. I did not spring for the personal coaching and have not felt I needed it yet, the plan is good enough so far. It is nice to have something premade so I don't have to second guess my plan and not be sure that I will be ready on race day. Well worth the low $85 cost.

I've used this site for years. It's probably my favourite site on the internet. So I wanted contribute to its upkeep.

I do like looking at some of the historic information and I've got grand plans for a custom training calender but it was a bit more alturisitc.

Well I said that I was not going to do it this season, but I cracked. I broke down and bought a new bike. I went out and bought a shiny new Cannondale road bike.
