Total Time = 5h 52m 39s
Overall Rank = 1022/1101

Pre-race routine:

Nill for training. I entered this marathon for the sole purpose of checking off a bucket list item. While I'll be running the same distance during the IM in October, I've not trained for this distance so it was interesting to see my results.
Event warmup:

Did very little streching. Mostly sat in the "Warming Tent" - didn't hve any heat -. Began the run cold.
Run
  • 5h 52m 39s
  • 26.2 miles
  • 13m 28s  min/mile
Comments:

I maintained a 9m30s pace for the first 6mi. Then I backed it off to 13m/mi. I walkeed approsximately 2.5mi during the course so I could have come in much stronger, but overall I think I did well. My goal was sub 6h30mi out of the allocated 7mi. I wastched my pasce constatntly and it paid off. Got blisterws on my left foot. right foot was fine. Stopped twice for Mole-skin.

Took salt sticks regulary along with Sport Legs. Must have done something as my klegs didnpt size up!

Post race

What limited your ability to perform faster:
