This past weekend, at the US National Swimming Championships in Irvine, CA, SwimAtlanta's (my old club--go SWAT!) Amanda Weir went 53.58 for the 100m Free to break the old American record by 0.41 seconds. She just missed the world record. She went out in 25.99 at 50m, and then came home in an amazing 27.59.

OH please...that's nothing.  I easily broke 24 for the 50m WITHOUT cycling shoes....yeah, that's right, I did that time in sneakers on regular pedals.

That's "Lightning Mac" to you.

Oh wait...swimming....nevermind then
