I look at wetsuits (online of course) and I would love to find one that would fit me.
I am 5'9" Female that weighs 190# - most of course which is in the lower portions.
I was considering going for a man's weight suit, but do they make realistic big girl wetsuits?
THANKS!

Call Xterra - I got 60% off and it fits me perfect (5'10" 180 right now). I ended up with a men's medium and they have a 30 day return policy (and you can swim in it!).

Good Luck! Us big girls ROCK!

Another vote for XTERRA! I'm 5'9" 170 all in my hips and thighs and I'm in a women's large.

I am going to highly recommend trying on men's wetsuits.

I had a women's that worked fine. One day I took my husbands wetsuit by mistake and can tell you it is much more comfortable! Especially if you are busty. They assume women who race have aero boobs and men have wide backs/chest. My girls were much more comfortable in a men's.

Another vote for Xterra. I am 5'9, 200. A Women's XL fits me even though the size chart doesn't seem like it would. And, I second getting to try it on in the water (even a pool!). Great policy. I have never tried on a men's wetsuit but the website said that it wouldn't work for the sleeveless models. Not sure how accurate that is.

I'm the same height and weight as you, but am pretty solid (most would not accurately guess my weight). I wear a nineteen female xl, the fitting guide says it goes up to 165 or 170, but I've never had a problem with it being too small.

Keri......if I was to go towards the men's should I aim to a medium or L? I am not very top heavy so that wouldn't be a big deal...............And would I go sleeveless or sleeves?

I'm doing my first tri Saturday. It starts at 7 AM and the forecast is calling for a high of 82 (air temp). Do I need to rush out and get a wetsuit?

I’m a 240lb man, and I run relatively long distances. How would you recommend training for marathon and IM distances as heavy as I am?
